I am a Pet Behaviour Counsellor and Trainer, working mainly with dogs and cats. I am registered with CAPBT (COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists & Trainers), the UK's largest Register of Qualified Behaviour Counsellors. I have also been featured on ITV North West, Galaxy Radio, BBC Radio Leicester, was Behaviour & Training Advisor to the RSPCA, Burton for 3 years and have been an Expert Witness for them in some of their prosecution cases.

My approach to behaviour therapy & training is one of a scientifically based nature, using the EMRA technique pioneered by COAPE. EMRA stands for Emotional, Mood State and Reinforcement Assessment. Using this model I am able to explain the psychological and physiological components of your pet's behaviour, and how best to approach a therapeutic resolution.

My interest in animals started as a young child. While my friends just wanted to throw a ball for their dogs, I wanted to train them! Years later, after rescuing a particularly troubled German Shepherd dog with serious behavioural difficulties, I decided to learn how to help animals like him who couldn't help themselves. 

I currently offer behaviour & training services to private clients, along with various rescue centres, including Leicester Animal Aid where I work with the dogs,through behaviour therapy & training.

I have also written articles for various media, including The Burton Mail, Manchester Evening News, It's A Dog's Life and Dogs Today magazines and give talks on Canine Behaviour to rescue centres, breed clubs and various community groups, teach Defensive Handling Skills to veterinary staff and rescue centre workers, have written educational courses on canine behaviour & training and am the author of several booklets on dog and cat behaviour including 'Asbo Hounds' and 'Feline Hooligans'.
