Constructional Aggression Treatment

C.A.T. is a revolutionary new therapy, developed in the US by Dr. Jesus Rosales-Ruiz and Kellie Snyder, for the treatment of aggressive behaviour in dogs.

It is a simple technique that uses 'shaping' to build better behaviours and produces stronger and faster results than the conventional 'counter conditioning and desensitisation' methods.

The programme works for aggressive behaviour towards other animals and humans in all situations.

Firstly a detailed questionairre must be filled in by the owners and checked through with the behaviourist.

A programme is then agreed upon and sessions are started. A miniumum of four sessions is recommended although results are usually seen within the first session. Sessions vary in length dependant on progress made.

The style of therapy means that the behaviourist does all the work during the session, which takes the onus off of the owners.

I have had excellent results with this therapy and is now offering this service to clients.

If you are interested in this programme of therapy, please contact me for more details.

Cost £60 per session (travel charges apply)

NB. Owners need to be aware that as aggression is an emotional response, there is no 'cure' as at some later point in the dogs life there may be something else which provokes a similar reaction.. C.A.T. allows the dog to become more comfortable with what presently provokes the aggression (eg: dogs, people etc) and enables the dog to relax and be less reactive.
